Where our data comes from

Everything on Probiome is built from public research data. Here's each source, what we use it for, and how to credit it. Dates come from our last pipeline run.

How we combine them

We don't copy anyone's summary numbers. We recount from the per-sample data ourselves, so every share and comparison on the site comes from the same samples and the same method. Evidence stays separate per source: when a genome says one thing and a lab test another, we show both and say so, rather than blending them into one answer. Nothing here is a measurement of your own gut.

How strong a finding is, when it's shown and how it's worded follow one public rulebook. Read the rules →

Microbes and guts

GMrepo v3

Updated Oct 14, 2026

Which microbes are found in healthy and sick guts, and how often: the samples behind every share and comparison, which we recount ourselves. “Our analysis of GMrepo data” on a page means this.
